An empirical formula for the accumulative deformation of saturated clay under different cyclic loading frequencies

چکیده

Road and subway tunnels in soft clay soils subjected to traffic loading often cause lager settlement. It can pose danger the surrounding buildings structures. Hence, it is necessary for engineers correctly predict long-term deformation of saturated foundations under cyclic loading. In this paper, a series dynamic triaxial tests were carried out on Nanning investigate effect frequency stress axial strain accumulation undrained condition. Results show that has great clay. Based experimental results, an empirical formula calculating accumulated was presented.
